Dr. Bill Sullenberger
Manager, Emergency and Hospitalization Services
Dr. Bill Sullenberger graduated from Western University of Health Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Prior to joining Pet Specialists in 2011, he worked in Watsonville as a general practitioner, but has a long history in emergency medicine, as his father is an emergency veterinarian in the Los Angeles area. Dr. Sullenberger thrives on the fast-paced, critical patient care of emergency medicine and manages the emergency team.
Dr. Taina Power
Dr. Taina Power grew up between rural Alaska, Puerto Rico and Northern California where she discovered her great love for the many animals surrounding her and her interests in veterinary medicine. After earning a B.A. in Anthropology from U.C. Berkeley, she obtained a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences in 2009. Dr. Power went on to complete a postdoctoral small animal rotating internship at Bay Area Veterinary Specialists in San Leandro. A long- time resident of the central coast and the daughter of an emergency room physician, she feels at home as a member of the emergency team at Pet Specialists in Monterey. Dr. Power also works as a general practitioner in Pacific Grove.
Dr. Erika Beck
Dr. Erika Beck graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007 with a B.A. in East Asian Languages and Civilization, concentrating on Japanese and Chinese. In 2014, she earned her DVM and International Veterinary Medicine certification from Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. In 2015, she completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship at San Francisco Veterinary Specialists and has provided relief services in multiple practices throughout the Bay Area. Her interests include surgery, pain management, exotics and conservation medicine. In her spare time, Erika enjoys rock climbing, snowboarding, film festivals and traveling, especially to East Asia.
